 How To Add Your
Site To Our Web Resource Directory!
The Free Graphics Store's Resources
Directory is organized by subject and most sites in it are suggested
to us by our visitors. Sites are placed in categories by the Free
Graphics Store's content team, who visit and evaluate your suggestions and
decide where they best belong. We do this to ensure that the directory is
organized in the best possible way and is easy to use, intuitive, helpful,
friendly and fair to everyone.
With this in mind, we'd like to ask
you to follow these three simple steps if you have a site (URL) you'd like
to suggest:

1. Check
to see if your site is already listed.

This is an important first step because
if your site is already listed you probably don't need to submit it again! (*but
see our note on multiple listing, below) Check by searching for your site by
title or by browsing appropriate categories (use the search box at the base
of this page).

2. Find the
appropriate category

Finding an appropriate category for
your site is at the heart of this process. Remember that our content team
visit each site suggested to us. Proper categorization on your part helps
us process suggestions quickly - but if you fluff it, we'll correct it for
you.
NB: Most people find one listing
in our directory adequate, but there are exceptions where we pemit multiple
listings. They are software developers (who wish to list their products)
and sites which clearly fall into more than one distinct category (eg:
a graphics library whose editor offers web authoring services could list
in both the webauthoring and graphics categories).

3. Suggest
your site in an appropriate category.

Suggest your site from the category
you think most appropriate. Do this by clicking on the "Add URL" link at
the top left of that category page. Remember that the final placement of
your site is determined by our content team.
Listing
Information We Need To Know
When you click on "Add URL"
you'll see an on-line form asking for information about your site. You'll
also see the name of the category and any sub categories you have chosen
in the "category" space on the form.
Please be prepared to provide:

Your e-mail
address
-
Your site's
title
-
Your site's
URL (use the full
http://www. address format)
-
A brief
description of your site's contents, and
-
Up to 15
key search
words to associate
with your entry.
We also ask you not to use any
non-alphanumeric characters in your description or keywords, or HTML tags
(which are stripped out). And please separate your keywords with spaces,
not commas!
We update our database
on average every three days and sites following the guidelines above can
expect to be added in this timeframe. Please help us to help you by providing
your information as outlined above.
